Episode 7: Goodbye, Mile High. Episode 8: Thy Will Be Undone. This is not a travel blog. I am terrible at planning and organizing my personal travel. This show is a way for me to connect with fellow survivors as I traverse the world in my new life. Today, I talk about the ways the harm of others have influenced me, my shame, and my victory over abuse.
Episode 9: Respect the Roar. Chuck was a 36 year-old shoe salesman at a department store near our home in small town Alabama. He assured me, in his own customized vocabulary, that he was the solution to my feeling alone in a large family. He hooked me into an idea that he was the source of strength that would be the foundation I had long craved.
Episode The After Abuse. There is no guidebook for how 13 year olds should reveal the angst living inside of them. The very things we can not say out loud, we assume our parents can at least attempt to find. Episode New Year, Know You. I put too much faith in bad habits and isolation.
I knew it was necessary to be honest. In the course of my ambition to end my life there was mercy.
To this day, I can feel the despair of what my year-old self was facing: the terror of wanting to be someone different, while carrying the weight of not knowing how to change but willing to try anything. I was taught that I needed to repent to feel relief. So, I did.
I was taught that I was responsible for what happened. So, I apologized to God. I was told to fall on my face acknowledging what I kept secret. And with every bend in my body, I laid it all down. What happens when repentance is not enough? I took a sabbatical for a year to travel the world in August, In January, , I came home after visiting 22 countries and seeing amazing sights and meeting even more amazing people.

Episode Conversion Therapy. I sat across from the staff psychologist at Love In Action, the most well known conversion therapy camp in the country, while he read a psychiatric evaluation he wrote from the forms I filled out. He followed up with telling me that I did not register on the Meyers-Briggs assessment, and that I was scary to him. So Christiansen's animation shows that last time our solar system was at its current point in the galaxy, the Triassic Period was in full swing and dinosaurs were just beginning to emerge.
Many of the most iconic dinosaurs roamed Earth when the planet was in a very different part of the Milky Way. Christiansen got the idea to illustrate this history when she was leading a stargazing party at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. Attendees were astonished when she mentioned that our solar system had been across the galaxy when dinosaurs roamed.

I have always been interested in galactic archaeology, but I don't think this is what they meant. Did you know that dinosaurs lived on the other side of the Galaxy? Christiansen said it took her about four hours to make the film using timed animations in PowerPoint. She also noted a couple minor corrections to the text in her video: plesiosaurs are not dinosaurs, and we complete a galactic orbit every million years not million years.
Galactic movement is more complicated than the video shows, though. The other stars and planetary systems in the galaxy are also moving, at different speeds and in different orbits. The inner portions spin faster than the outer regions.
Type in the search box the country, city, address, zip code or geographical coordinates , press the Find button and our "man" will dig a tunnel from selected location on the Left Map, right through the center of the Earth, up to the other side of the world which will be represented on Right Map. Both maps can be moved and zoomed in and out.
Below each map you can view the selected location address and geographical coordinates latitude and longitude. The latitude of a point on the Earth's surface is the angle between the equatorial plane and the straight line that passes through that point and through the center of the Earth. Lines joining points of the same latitude are called parallels. The longitude of a point on the Earth's surface is the angle east or west from a reference meridian to another meridian that passes through that point.
All meridians are halves of great ellipses, which converge at the north and south poles. The combination of these two components specifies the position of any location on the surface of the Earth.

The antipodes of any place on the Earth is the point on the Earth's surface which is diametrically opposite to it. Two points that are antipodal to each other are connected by a straight line running through the centre of the Earth. An antipodal point it is often called an antipode Wikipedia. The Most of Europeans and Americans believe that if you dig a hole, in a straight line through the center of the Earth, you would come out on the other side right in China. But this is just a saying, because, in reality, if you dig a straight tunnel, in most areas, of Europe or United States you will come out in the ocean.
The only places where a straight hole will emerge in China ar parts in Argentina and Chile. In the Northern Hemisphere, "the Antipodes" is often used to refer to Australia and New Zealand , and "Antipodeans" to their inhabitants. There are no non-stop scheduled flights between any two antipodal locations by commercial airline service. Since 11 October , the longest non-stop scheduled airline flight by great circle distance is between Singapore and Newark, New Jersey at 15, km.
